Come aboard for a day of swashbuckling adventure at Fernbank’s Pirate Day. Little landlubbers will enjoy making their own sword out of newsprint, a walk the plank game, temporary tattoos, a scavenger hunt, and visits from the Atlanta Pirates and Wenches Guild. Atlanta Dog Jog
Presented by VetHeart of Georgia, Atlanta Dog Jog is a highly anticipated annual event for dogs and their people in Atlanta’s Piedmont Park. The fun- run and walk features a 1-mile and 5k course. Both are optimal for participants of all athletic levels, from competitive runners to casual walkers. Strollers and wagons are permitted. Sat., 9 a.m. for 1 mile run/walk; 9:30 a.m. for 5k, Piedmont Park, 1 mile is $25 in advance, $30 race day; 5k is $35 in advance, $40 race day. All ages. Event details.

Our Naturalists will lead you through the CNC trails as you enjoy fun night-time activities along the way. Nocturnal animals wow you as you learn about their contributions to the native night life. No matter what wonder you find, you can rest assured that roasted marshmallows by the campfire will be the perfect finishing touch to your night.
