It’s time for the Babies”R”Us annual Trade-In Event! The yearly event provides parents a way to trade in old, outdated or unused baby furniture and gear for savings on new items. By encouraging parents to discard potentially unsafe items, the retailer has removed millions of products from the market that no longer meet the current national safety standards. This year, their event is even greater than before!

The Greater Trade-In Event has expanded the list of items eligible for trade-in and has added a baby clothing donation element, in which Toys”R”Us and Babies”R”Us has partnered with charities around the country to help provide clothing for children in need.

From February 16 (Rewards Loyalty Members get early access on February 11!) through March 18, the company will accept items in exchange for a 25% off coupon towards a new eligible purchase. If buyers use their “R”Us credit card, you’ll get 30% off! All clothing donations will be exchanged for a 25% off coupon for new clothing only.

You can find the entire list of eligible trade-ins on the Toys”R”Us website, but some of the main items are cribs, car seats, high chairs, strollers and walkers. You know, all the usual baby stuff that’s cluttering up your garage! Any brand is eligible for the program and your items don’t even have to be in working order. The company will be properly disposing of all items (aside from clothing) to ensure they are kept from being unsafely used in the future. Forget the garage sale this year, just head to Babies”R”Us for the Greater Trade-In Event.
