It’s still the middle of summer, but the school year approaches—and Walmart wants to help you be prepared by saving money without waiting until the last minute. According to a survey of Walmart customers, almost one-third of parents wish they could avoid the stress of last-minute back-to-school shopping without giving up deals and discounts. Back-to-school shopping at Walmart is a breeze with several new tools for parents.
Walmart has rolled out some new ways to make shopping faster and easier than ever. “Walmart has always been known for our low prices, but giving parents time back is also valuable currency when they’re deciding where to shop for all their back-to-school needs,” said Scott Bayles, Walmart’s Dean of Back-to-Class.
Walmart has expanded its awesome, easy-to-use School Supplies List, now available via the Walmart app. The popular service—which made its web-only debuted last year—allows parents to look up their teacher’s specific school supply list and find everything needed in-store. The expansion to the app makes it even easier to check the list and locate the store aisle as you shop.
If you don’t want to leave the house to shop you don’t have to, either: Walmart is offering free two-day shipping on the majority of its back-to-school items for orders over $35. The expansion of Walmart’s online grocery pickup and delivery service means you can also shop for back-to-school gear and pick it up without getting out of your car.
You won’t have to sacrifice style for convenience. Walmart promises to deliver on-trend items that kids want, with 25 percent of the store’s school supply assortment made of brand-new items—all of which are priced as you would expect from Walmart, with over 400 items just under $3.
