Wearable Baby Tech
Newborns can be scary little creatures. As parents, we want to monitor them all the time and make sure everything is working as it should. But, we're also tired and can't really stand over them and make sure they're breathing 24/7. (Although, we've probably all tried!) Luckily, wearable baby tech is trending this year.
The Owlet Smart Sock for example uses pulse oximetry — the same technology found in the device hospitals put on your finger — to track baby’s heart rate and oxygen levels. If baby stops breathing or if vitals drop, you’ll be notified right away; the Base Station (a small disk you can place right by your bed) will flash red and set off an alarm. You can also turn to wearable tech when Baby is sick.
The FeverFrida is a temperature monitoring system that includes adhesive patches you can stick on your little one before bed so that you can track temperature fluctuations via an app. Oh how baby care has changed!
