The new year is full of promise … and we wouldn’t mind if brought us inventions that made parenting a little easier! Flip through our photo album to read about baby products that we dreamed up. Yes, they’re fake but we think they have a shot at hitting the market in 2014 — even as practical jokes. Hey, if there is an over-the-door baby holder made for stashing your kid while you wash your hands (yes, there really is!), you just never know.

“Baby Lojack” – A Child Tracking System

What it does: Take overprotective parenting to the extreme with the latest in under-the-skin microchip, child-tracker technology. Okay, so this one seems more 2114 than 2014. But we bet it's coming ... some day.
Why we want it: Those child leashes are a little barbaric (well, um, so we’ve heard) and babies are too small to wear one anyway. Some days, it's nice to be able to helicopter-parent minus the shame — at least minus the public shame.
What do you think: Love it or leave it? Let us know in the Comments section below.
