They’re creepy and they’re kooky and they’re headed back to the big screen. That’s right The Addams Family is getting a revival and it will star Charlize Theron as Morticia Addams.

Before you get too excited about the idea of a dark-haired Charlize Theron doing the tango, this new iteration of everyone’s favorite spooky family is actually an animated film. The just announced full voice cast of the new movie includes Bette Midler as Grandmama, as well as Oscar Isaac as Gomez, Chloë Grace Moretz as Wednesday, Finn Wolfhard as Pugsley, and Nick Kroll as Uncle Fester. Allison Janney will also round out the cast as Morticia’s pastel-loving arch-nemesis, Margaux Needler.

While the 1990’s version of The Addams Family starring Angelica Huston as Morticia is probably the most memorable of your generation, but this cobweb-loving family that was originally a New Yorker cartoon has been on the big and small screen in various versions since the 1960s. There has even been another animated version, a short-lived Hanna-Barbera cartoon.

The Addams Family hits theaters on October 11, 2019.
