Heather Muenstermann of Sweater Dude & Friends

This eco-conscious mom balances kids, running a boutique and crafting. Heather is part owner of the children and baby boutique Green Genes in Andersonville, where she enjoys selling Sweater Dude & Friends, a line of plushes she created. As the mother of a two-year-old boy, Bodhi, she became passionate about the idea that, “boys deserve dolls too!” Sweater Dude & Friends are fun and cuddly companions that are made almost entirely of re-purposed wool, cashmere or cotton sweaters. Heather has patterns for these special dolls, but she also takes customer requests. They can also be purchased in her Etsy shop, but many are sold before they can even be posted online. Heather, her partner and her son also love using recycled cardboard boxes to make castles and forts in their Andersonville home.
