You made it through the week, despite the spills and thrills of parenthood, and now it’s time for TGIF family fun. We found great happenings that don’t take a ton of planning (and many are free!). Check out these events happening regularly on Fridays and make sure your weekend starts with a bang.

Juicebox Performances at Chicago Cultural Center

Celebrate cultural diversity with your little ones at this series of laid-back shows that showcase music, dance and theater from around the world. They cater specifically to the stroller set, so talking and wiggling around while the performance is going on isn't just allowed -- it's encouraged. Every other Friday, stop by to catch everything from classical music to Indian dance to African drumming. BYO snacks are allowed.

Held the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month, from 11-11:45 a.m. Admission: Free
78 E. Washington St., Preston Bradley Hall, The Loop (312-744-6630 or cityofchicago.org).
