For Shade & Serenity: Sedgwick Playground

This playground is so secret that it's not even on the Chicago Park District website or map! In fact, we couldn't even find an official name for it, so we coined it Sedgwick Playground. Kick it here on a hot summer day -- it's a great, shady escape when your usual hangout is too crowded. Older kids can tackle the advanced-level climbing structures, while younger ones like to romp on the faux rocks. Adjacent to the playground are two large metal horse statues; kids like to "feed" them leaves and sticks.
