It comes on faster than an unwanted snowball to the back of the head — cabin fever! The cure is to keep your spirits up and body moving with indoor adventures. Check out the playful scene at museums and community recreation centers, where you’ll find mini tree houses, itty-bitty jungle gyms and more. Click through our album for spots that might not be on your list yet, but definitely should be.

For an Intro to STEM: Museum of Science and Industry

It’s never too early to rev up your little STEM champion. The wonderful Idea Factory on the ground level blends education with play. Toddlers delight in pulleys and weights, water play, balls, tubes, and serious gears. For babies, there’s a special crawl-and-explore area. Moms will appreciate the nursing room located inside the exhibit hall. Line up early for staggered 30-minute entry to Idea Factory. After the kids finish here, check out the museum’s temporary LEGO Brick by Brick exhibit!
