From parades to merchant trick-or-treating, there are frights and delights from Lincoln Square to Naperville — so many, in fact, you might need a second bag to carry your haul. Here are our picks that are guaranteed to get your little ghouls and goblins running for more, more, more!

Roscoe Village

The 'hood is happening any time. But on Sun., Oct. 23, it really picks up for the annual Halloween party and parade. The costume parade, led by the Lane Tech High School marching band, kicks off at 2 p.m., and is fun to watch but more fun to march in. Tents set up along Roscoe St. (weather permitting), and dancing, costume contests and photo vignettes round out the fun. Expect even more craft and activity tables this year, a photo booth, and five local food vendors plus two food trucks. Official area trick-or-treating happens Sat., Oct. 31 from 2 p.m.-5 p.m.
