Ah, play spaces — little paradises for sweet, innocent young ones. But where do you go when your kid ages out of them (aka: when he threatens to steamroll the entire joint in a few single bounds)? Transition to bigger, more active arenas, where physical activity is king. Click through our album to discover the local places where the activity and energy is full blast.

Ball Factory

This place should really be called Ball Factory ... And So Much More! Balls abound, sure, but five themed play areas (including an adult “Parent Zone” with coffee and free WiFi) take the place way beyond balls. Younger ones (ages 4 and under) can head to the Parent & Tot Lounge to play while the older kids head to the gigantic play structure -- which is like a jungle gym on 'roids. This multi-story playground has slides, mazes and, of course, a giant ball pit. Competitive kids will love the Ball Blast where they can launch Styrofoam balls through an air-propelled cannon. Little drivers can get behind the wheel in the pedal car area. Grab a tractor and trailer and hit the “road” to collect Legos and – what else – balls.
