If you have a little monkey that never met a tree they didn’t want to climb, a wall they didn’t want to scale, or a giant red Target ball they didn’t want to ninja-kick off of, it may be time to introduce them to the thrills of a zip line. Don’t worry, we’re not suggesting you strap them in and send them soaring with their feet skimming the treetops — click through our album for seven local kid-approved zips that’ll keep them mere feet from the ground.

Island Park

Situated beside a walking and biking trail along the Fox River, you’ll find a zip line with a tranquil water view. While the zip line tends to be the crowd favorite, the treehouse-inspired play set with log and boulder stairs, teeter-toter designed to resemble a white water raft, swings and rope climbing web will appeal to kids of all ages. Take advantage of the bike trail proximity by renting bikes at neighboring Mill Race Cyclery for the day. An added bonus for parents is the downtown Geneva location where unique shopping and dining options are plentiful.
