Millennium Park Family Fun Fest
Yay! It’s back for a summer of interactive activities, sing-a-longs and circle dances from Old Town School of Folk, delightful story times, and arts and crafts for kids of all ages. Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” Musical
Venture under the sea with spunky Ariel and her saltwater-loving friends on an adventure to find true love with the handsome Prince Eric. Based on the full-length Broadway musical, this 75-minute production features special opportunities for audiences to interact with the actors for photos and chit-chat. 1st Birthday Expo
Get the 411 on party planning at Chicago’s inaugural learning and fun fest. Wizard School Scavenger Hunt
Go on a hunt for art that echoes characters, places, and enchanted objects in the famed Harry Potter books and movies. Track down flying owls, Hagrid-like giants, centaurs and unicorns similar to the ones in the Forbidden Forest, dragons that seem straight out of the Triwizard Tournament, and eerie figures as scary as any Death Eater or Dementor. Fiesta del Sol
Get a taste of Mexico at the largest Latino Festival in the Midwest, while helping to raise money for scholarships for local youth. Move to the grove of latin music, and discover new foods. The children’s area is packed with carnival rides, face painting, educational games, soccer, art displays (including kids!) and more. Nature Connects: Art with LEGO Bricks by Sean Kenney
LEGO enthusiasts of all ages will be dazzled as they search for 13 larger-than-life, nature-inspired LEGO sculptures throughout the east side of Morton Arboretum. See if your kid’s little eyes can spy a 7-foot tall regal peacock, a grandfather and grandchild gardening, a giant corn spider, a hummingbird sipping nectar from a colorful trumpet flower, an 8-foot dragonfly and more! Pirate Adventure Island at LEGOLAND Discovery Center
