Your favorite big red dog is back! Scholastic has just announced that Clifford the Big Red Dog will be coming to a television near you in 2019.

The rebooted show will air on both Amazon Prime Video and PBS Kids, and follows the original series that ran from 2000-2003. The new version is expected to bring back beloved characters like Emily Elizabeth and of course, Clifford.

Clifford is the product of artist Norman Bridwell, and first came to life in the 1960’s. He has been warming hearts ever since with his larger than life adventures on Birdwell Island.

The new show already has 39 episodes spread out over 3 seasons and will reportedly incorporate curriculum geared towards fostering early literacy and imaginative play. You can also expect to hear new original songs and fresh characters when the series airs in the Fall of 2019.

That’s right, you’ll have to wait a year to catch a big red dog sighting! In the meantime, you can tide yourself over by catching up on your fave Clifford books and maybe a peek at the original series.
