Convincing grandparents and family members to gift your kids things they actually want and need can be challenging, but now Amazon is adding a new feature that will take the stress away. Planning for birthdays and shopping for holiday gifts is about to get much easier for families thanks to new collaborative Amazon Wish Lists.

A new Amazon feature allows users to invite others to access their Wish Lists. The option, listed as “invite others,” is rolling out slowly on and the Amazon app to Wish List pages. This generates a unique URL which you can then use to invite others to access your list via email or text. Once accepted they can add and remove items from your wish list.

The new collaborative Wish Lists also allow users to have in-app conversations about the items on the list. Both features will make it easier to collaborate on gift giving for kids. Grandparents can share ideas for the gifts they are thinking of purchasing and you can give your feedback or just put the kibosh on the ones you don’t want driving you crazy at home.

While this feature hasn’t officially launched yet, TechCrunch is reporting that some Amazon users already have access in an early limited roll out. If you don’t see the option yet on your Wish List, you should hopefully have it soon, just in time for holiday shopping season.
