Planes haven’t been on your radar since Maverick and Top Gun, but your little captain loves flying the friendly skies. Take her up, up and away at 11 awesome aviation centers perfect for petite pilots. From interactive exhibits to real-life aircrafts, you’re now boarding for the next family adventure.

Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum – Denver, Co

From Cockpit Demo Day (kids of all ages climb aboard select Wings aircraft and get a pilot’s perspective of the instruments and controls) once a month, to story time in the Exploration Station every Friday, and the popular Star Wars X-Wing Starfighter (amazing, it is), there’s plenty to keep little aviators flying high at Wings over the Rockies. There’s even a whole day dedicated to kids—petite pilots learn how to operate radio-controlled aircrafts, discover museum secrets and enjoy an air and space-themed magic show.

Good to know: Guided tours are available for ages 5 & up.
