Ahoy, Matey! Does your kiddo like to float? Well, with clear skies and sunny days ahead there’s never been a better time to get her out on the water. From pirate ship adventures on the Chesapeake to lazy alligator cruises in the Louisiana bayou, here are 10 great boat rides perfect for mini mariners.

The Beast – New York City, Ny

Does your little mariner like her boats to be more like roller coasters? Hop aboard this massive, high-powered speedboat and zip down the Hudson at speeds of up to 45 miles per hour. The 30-minute ride—which is accompanied by a screaming rock 'n roll soundtrack—takes riders soaring past Midtown and Lower Manhattan before screeching to a halt just feet from the Statue of Liberty.

Be forewarned: The Beast loves to make waves, and most riders will be thoroughly soaked by ride's end (If you're trying to stay on the dry side, stay away from the outer back of the boat; it's nicknamed "the pool" for a reason.).

Baby boaters should sit this one out. Beast passengers must be at least three, over 40" tall, and be able to sit in their own seat without assistance.
