Chabot Space & Science Center – Oakland, Ca

In the San Francisco Bay Area, Morrison Planetarium at the Academy of Science may get all the glory (and the tourists), but there are plenty of reasons why the Chabot Space & Science Center also shines bright. Of course, the Ask Jeeves Planetarium is where shows for outer space fans of all ages are offered, including: Astronaut, Back to the Moon for Good, Cosmos 360 Series and Tales of the Maya Skies, but, there’s also “Rachel,” the largest telescope open to the public, the Discovery Lab—a large, open-ended play space where young scientists can dive into dramatic play, space art, science discovery tables, and futuristic building—and much more.

Insider Tip: Distributed worldwide, Tales of the Maya Skies is a Chabot original production!
