Christmas isn’t the only holiday that deserves a countdown calendar. For those celebrating Hanukkah (or for non-jewish families looking for a fun craft to learn about a different culture), we stumbled across this awesome, and oh-so-easy Hanukkah countdown calendar, courtesy of Mamaleh.

The crafty Mamaleh got inspired to create this Hanukkah calendar after her three year old son became enamored with his Halloween countdown calendar. If Halloween and Christmas could have a calendar, why not Hanukkah? Instead of counting the actual days of Hanukkah, this calendar counts down the 18 (chai) days of Hanukkah, as well as the actual Hanukkah holiday itself.

Mamaleh gives instructions on how to assemble the calendar, as well as a downloadable PDF you can print out yourself.

Let us know in the comment section below how your Hanukkah countdown calendar turns out.

Made by Mamaleh is where the crafty and the Jewish combine to give you fresh, chic, creative ideas from a Jewish perspective.  Mamaleh is creating a modern Jewish home one project at a time by sharing crafts, recipes, shopping finds, kid activities, you name it.
