Many expectant moms are familiar with the comparisons between fruits and veggies to the size of their growing baby. One mom chronicled her pregnancy in the most fan girl way she could think of. Grace Navarro, a content creator from Orlando, Florida, decided to keep track of her growing bump with weekly photo updates inspired by some of her favorite fandoms: Harry Potter, Disney, and The Office.

Navarro didn’t plan on creating these kinds of updates when she first found out she was pregnant. She was focused on doing a massive Harry Potter pregnancy announcement that had been in the works for years.

While she was working on the video, one of the pregnancy apps she downloaded told her that at 14 weeks, her baby would be the size of a beet. She enlisted her husband Brennan Horine’s photography skills and dressed up as Dwight Schrute, from one of her favorite shows, The Office, since her baby was about the size of a beet from Schrute Farms.

Navarro said, “I thought it would be fun to put together a Dwight progress picture as a one time thing.” She did not expect the reaction she received, and since people loved it so much, she decided to commit to posting a new fandom based pregnancy update each week.

Over the course of her pregnancy, Navarro spent hours brainstorming and trying to come up with costumes for each week. Navarro, had a lot of the supplies on hand, so she was able to cut back on costs, but she found it challenging to continue with the project for so many weeks. She said, “There were times I almost quit, especially when I got sick, but in the end I’m glad I kept on going until the end.”

Week 21! 🧡 . . A very wise snowman once said some people are worth melting for, and that couldn’t be more true in this Florida summer heat. 😂 Baby Horine is now the size (in length) of a carrot, or about 10.5 inches, and almost weighs a whole pound! S/he can now blink, and the eyelashes and eyebrows are formed. I wonder if s/he will have blue eyes like Brennan or hazel like mine? Kind of hoping for blue like daddy! 🤞🏻 . . I’m still feeling well, although my lower back is starting to suffer a bit. I decided to deep clean the interior of my car the other day and I couldn’t move for a day 😬 I’m craving all sweets, but if you know me, then you’ll know I always crave sweets hahah pregnant or not! . . I know Olaf can’t wait for summer, but we can’t wait for the end of Fall so we can meet our little babe! 19 weeks to go!! 😊

Looking through the photos, you can appreciate the amount of time and planning that went into creating the shots. Navarro had more than one shoot inspired by The Office. At week 30, she dressed as Jim Halpert holding a stapler encased in Jell-O.

Question: What baby is best? Fact: Baby Horine. . . Hello 30 weeks!! 3/4 of the pregnancy down, we enter the final stretch! #BabyHorine has packed around 3lbs of weight and is measuring roughly around 15.7 in (40 cm). S/he is the size of the infamous stapler in jello that Jim pranks Dwight with, and just as wiggly as the jello, because s/he likes to move around my belly nonstop (except when someone is trying to feel him/her lol forget it then.) . . I’m feeling “ok” most of the time, although some new fun pregnancy side effects have shown up that I won’t mention here, but they are definitely making things difficult for me at times! I’m starting to feel the weight of carrying this little one, but we are pushing through and trying to enjoy these final weeks! 😊 . . We are getting so excited to meet our baby, and spend our days day dreaming what it will be like to have you here. Meet you so soon!! ❤️

She dabbled in Disney themed shoots, dressing as Rapunzel holding her frying pan.

27 weeks!💜 . . Hello 3rd Trimester! How did we even get here so fast??😱 it’s kind of scary how quickly December is approaching, especially since there’s still so much to do. #babyhorine is now around 14.4 inches long (36.5 cm), or also the size of Rapunzel’s frying pan! I wonder if this little one will be as feisty and adventurous as her? . . Not much to report for me, lots of changes going on in my body but I think I’m handling most well! We had a doctor’s appointment today and the baby’s heartbeat was strong as usual. So thankful for a healthy baby! Tomorrow I have my glucose test, please think special thoughts of me because if I fail it... well, let’s not say what will happen if they take away my chocolate 😂 . . This week s/he got to kick off the Fall season with his/her first outing to Mickey’s not so scary Halloween Party, and I’m already trying to come up with # a costume for next year’s! Any suggestions???

Harry Potter also played a part in her pregnancy diary, when she dressed Luna Lovegood reading a copy of The Quibbler.

• Week 36 • . . Baby Horine is growing like a weed and measuring around 18.7 in (47.5 cm) which is about the size of one of the best Wizarding newspapers, the Quibbler. We had our last ultrasound today and found out s/he weights around 5lbs and 14oz!! Almost to his/her birth weight! Everything looked great with him/her and we were told s/he has a lot of hair! . . And now, onto the not so great. 😓 We found out that the baby hadn’t turned after all (or if s/he had, that it flipped back), and we once again have a breech baby. I know that the baby could still turn, but at this point, the chances are small so we are scheduling a c-section (and will recheck position before starting the procedure). I’m not gonna lie, it’s been a rough morning emotionally. Letting go of what I thought the birth of my baby would be like and accepting this new major surgery reality has been hard. I know in a few days I’ll have more clarity and that all that matters is that our baby is delivered healthy, but I guess today I just need to take the day to “grieve”. Other than that, I’ve been feeling good physically the last couple days (aside from the usual minor pains and being uncomfortable), so I am thankful that I’m feeling good and healthy after the month I’ve had. . . If you’ve had a (positive) c-section, I’d love to hear about your experiences!!!

💚2 MONTHS💚 . How is this little nugget already 2 months old?? Her personality has totally blossomed this last month and it has been so fun to watch her start discovering the world around her! It has been a busy 2nd month for us with lots of doctor’s appointments. We are so happy that her hip dysplasia has improved enough to start weaning her off of brace!! We have also gone dairy free in hopes that her reflux will get better and so far we have seen some improvements! It hasn’t been the most fun for me to change my diet but I’m finally getting the hang of it. . Charlie now weight 8lbs 13oz - she’s still so petite - and measures 22 inches. She’s finally starting to outgrow her newborn clothes and has been able to start wearing some of her 0-3 months clothes. . Things she loves: - Her daddy! She’s a daddy’s girl and gets so excited when he gets home from work. 😊 - TV - this girl LOVES her some Disney + and chill 😂 she is always mesmerized by whatever is on TV and can sit there forever just watching (she’s definitely her father’s daughter). - long car/stroller rides. - naps in people’s arms! She’s a good sleeper at night in her bassinet, but during the day she just LOVES being held. - holding on to things - fingers, clothes, hair.. you name it, she always finds something to hold! . . Things she hates: - getting dressed - how dare we put on clothes on her! 😂 - when you sit down while rocking her to sleep - you better not dare to sit when she’s still falling asleep.. all rocking must happen while standing! - being put into her car seat - as much as she loves being in it once it’s moving, when she first gets strapped in she gets SO mad. - being put in her bassinet for nap time! . . We love our little happy mandrake SO much!!! Swipe to see the cutest/funniest faces from our sweet girl! 💕😊
