Although sweater season might not be here quite yet, there are tons of fun holiday activities to look forward to in 2020. The Trains at NorthPark returns! Benefiting Ronald McDonald House of Dallas and once again presented by Bank of Texas, The Trains at NorthPark welcomes more than 70,000 visitors to Dallas’ favorite shopping destination each season to revel in the magical display and show their support for the House. Holiday at the Arboretum
Holiday at the Arboretum is Dallas’ favorite holiday tradition! Stroll the garden to see the 25-foot-tall elaborately decorated Victorian-style gazebos that represent each of the 12 Days of Christmas. In the evenings, the garden comes to life for a beautiful nighttime experience aglow with over one million lights. Great Wolf Lodge Grapevine's Snowland
Great Wolf Lodge Grapevine's Snowland celebration is filled with winter festivities. With oversized snowflakes, garland, shimmering trees, and more, the lodges transform into a whimsical wonderland. During the day, there will be physically distanced activities that start in the morning with “Twas the Night Before Snowland” Yoga Tails, and conclude in the evening with the Frosty Fest Family Dance Party. Guests are treated to frequent snowfalls in the Grand Lobby, as well as a telling of Great Wolf Lodge’s holiday story and Snowland Trivia. Nov. 27, 2020-Jan. 3, 2021. Event details.
Visit Santa's Wonderland at Bass Pro
Santa’s Wonderland returns to Bass Pro Shops and families are invited to enjoy this magical Christmas village with a few changes for 2020. You'll need to book your free reservation in advance. You'll get a "contactless Claus" visit when you arrive and free craft kits. Make sure to wear your holiday mask! Nov. 7-Dec. 24. Event details.
Dallas Zoo Lights Drive-Thru
Cruise through a newly constructed pathway and through familiar parts of the Dallas Zoo while marveling at more than one million lights in elaborate displays, silk-covered animal lanterns depicting all your Zoo favorites, an ice palace fit for a trio of penguins, and so much more along the way. I Love Christmas Movies! at the Gaylord Texan
I Love Christmas Movies presents a fully immersive exhibit featuring key moments from some of the most iconic Warner Bros. Pictures Christmas movies including THE POLAR EXPRESS™, A CHRISTMAS STORY™, ELF™, NATIONAL LAMPOON’S CHRISTMAS VACATION™, and THE YEAR WITHOUT A SANTA CLAUS™. As guests young and young at heart navigate the multi-sensory exhibits, they will enjoy over 13 fully immersive scenes complete with replicas of film props, audio clips and more, making participants feel as if they have stepped into part of the actual story. SNOWDAY Winter Pop-Up
SNOWDAY has returned for an even more adventurous second season, with multi-sensory, magical, and awe-inspiring moments around every corner. Guests will navigate their way through 5,000+ square feet of wondrous holiday fun. This year will feature many new and surprising spaces, new takes on fan favorites from last year, and, of course, the beloved celebrity elf, Sugarsocks. Visit Vitruvian Lights
Vitruvian Park transforms into North Texas’ most spectacular holiday destination during Vitruvian Lights, when over 1.5 million sparkling LED lights are wrapped around more than 550 trees. This year, Vitruvian Park has made the difficult decision not to host special events in conjunction with Vitruvian Lights. However, visitors are encouraged to walk through the park in a socially distanced manner or drive through to enjoy the beauty that is Vitruvian Lights. Nov. 27-Jan. 3. Event details.
Check Out Prairie Lights
Prairie Lights is the premier holiday light park in Texas located at Lynn Creek Park on Joe Pool Lake in Grand Prairie, Texas. Upon arriving at the entrance of Prairie Lights, you will be dazzled with 4 million lights set along 2 miles of path. Hundreds of ALL-NEW displays in shapes of all kinds line and arch over the roads. Half way through the drive get out of your car for a stop at Holiday Village where you will find food, gifts, Santa, a brand-new indoor Holiday Show, and the Holiday Magic Lighted Walk-Through Forest. Celebrate the Holiday Season with this beloved American classic presented in a new, innovative way. This heartwarming story of renewal is presented live on our Holiday Stage Set as a 1940’s radio broadcast.
