Red Tricycle: Your community recently voted you “Most Helpful Childcare Agency” – what do your customers value most about your business?
ASAP Sitters: We provide families with on-call, professional, pre-screened babysitters whenever they need one! We respond to our families quickly and personally. We make sure everyone on our team is qualified and loves working with children.
RT: What do you want people to know about your business that they don’t already know?
AS: We are a small, mom-owned, local business that has served 1000’s of families!
RT: How did your business get started and what was the motivation?
AS: I started ASAP Sitters to fill the need to qualified, on-call, occasional, and temporary childcare. We are the service families call for an occasional date night, when their full-time nanny is going on vacation, when they need an extended-stay caregiver while traveling, or during their hotel stay in the area.
RT: Tell us, what do you start your morning with: 1. coffee 2. tea 3. mimosa 4. water 5. all of the above.
AS: Definitely coffee first.
RT: What is the most awesome thing a customer has ever done for you?
AS: We love hearing from our happy families! Knowing we did our job right means everything!
RT: What is your biggest pet peeve as a business owner?
AS: Probably paperwork.
RT: How do you keep your stress levels down?
AS: Gardening helps!
RT: What’s your secret superhero power as a business owner?
RT: Tell us, what is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received (as a parent or business owner)?
AS: Be a good listener.
