Nothing says summer like an easy-breezy festival. But, if you think D.C.’s street shindigs are a grown-ups only affair, think again. Whether you and your kid crew are into crafts, music, or…baby back ribs, there’s something for everyone at these hot happenings. Pick one and save the date, or hit the festival circuit and see them all!

Truckeroo

Voted the third best festival in the Southeast, Truckeroo is a monthly food truck festival that launches its 2017 schedule in April. Showcasing D.C.’s most popular food trucks, introduce your kids to banh mi, tapas, kafta, and the stinkiest of cheeses—or just lure them with promises of ice cream sandwiches and frozen custard. Games and live music will keep the kids entertained while you go back for seconds.
