D.C. has its fair share of gyms and workout studios that come equipped with swank kid clubs, monitored by uber-qualified caregivers. But, if you have a new baby in your brood—one who, perhaps, has never left your side—hitting the mat with them in eyesight may be more your (and their) speed. If you’ve memorized every move of every workout DVD in your stash, switch things up at a local sweat session where babies are always welcome.
Bootcamp’s at gyms, in parking lots and just about everywhere else have been getting participants to “jack it out” all over the District. More popular than ever, Mommy Bootcamp is for mothers looking to get strong and stay fit no matter how busy parenthood makes them. A free tryout workout will motivate you to check out this Vienna group of parents (and babies) who like an early morning challenge. Chantilly, Ashburn and Fairfax locations are also available.
