The quaint strip of King Street gets a temporary makeover into a free outdoor art festival, featuring over 200 of the nations top artists. Work up a sweat/appetite walking back-and-forth along King Street? No problem! The festival also plays host to an Ice Cream Bowl Fundraiser sponsored by the Torpedo Factory. Sat.-Sun., 10:00 am. Rosslyn Jazz Festival

Potted Potter at Shakespeare Theater Company
Calling all wizards, Muggles and Dumbledores! All seven of the (massive) Harry Potter books are smushed into this 70-minute family-friendly performance. Adams Morgan Day
You don’t have to book a trip to another country to experience a different culture. Case in point? Adams Morgan Day features live music and food from around the world. Fall In! Sample Class Day at Imagination Stage

Dating back to 1842, this county fair is a Maryland institution. But, you can expect the same cotton candy-fueled excitement no matter how many years this carnival has under its belt.
