The World & Me Family Program: Beguiling Birds
Find your place in the world through explorations of nature and culture. Every second Saturday of the month, museum educators lead a program that combines a book reading, activities, and a chance to look more closely at the museum’s collections. This month, explore the amazing diversity of birds by reading “Birds” by Kevin Henkes, looking at related collection objects, and making cardboard binoculars to search for birds in the exhibitions and in your neighborhood! . The last 200 years are some of the most exciting in technological history, and Tudor Place has seen them all. Saturday Morning at The National: Peter and the Wolf
Recently named Children’s Entertainer of the Year by Young Audiences of Virginia, Rainbow Puppets presents the tale of “Peter and the Wolf.” Peter lives in a small meadow surrounded by a dark forest. Airmail Centennial Family Day Celebration
The United States Postal Service will honor the beginning of airmail service by dedicating the second of this year’s two United States Air Mail Forever stamps at the College Park Aviation Museum and College Park Airport.
