Get Glowing in Georgetown
If kiddo digs holiday lights, you won’t want to miss this! Georgetown will be decked to impress this weekend—nearly 300 lit holiday baskets will like the streets, 30-feet LED-lit trees will glisten along M Street, and a ginormous ornament will be lifted high above the intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and M Street. Don’t overlook storefronts either–there is a window decorating contest going on that is sure to amaze little lookie loos. Fri.-Sat., 6 pm-10 pm. Free. All ages. Event details.

Rockville

Pajama Party with Santa
No need to get gussied up. Kids can just roll out of bed and come in pajamas to meet Santa and his helpers over a scrumptious gourmet and kid-friendly brunch at the Toys for Tots event. National Building Museum’s 35th Birthday
Who knew?! The National Building Museum is an 80’s baby! Thirty-five years ago, an Act of Congress established the nation’s only museum dedicated to the history and impact of the built environment. To celebrate its birthday, the museum is throwing open their doors and offering free admission to all, plus birthday festivities throughout the day. Sat., 10 am-5 pm. Free. All ages. Event details.

Silver Spring
Music Box Series: Sleigh Ride
