The Andrews Air Show is back (after a brief hiatus) with a free air show at Joint Base Andrews in Camp Springs, Maryland. The show features the Air Force’s premier aerial demonstration team, the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, performing fast-paced aerobatic maneuvers of two, four and six planes flying in formation. The Grandsons, Jr. Family Concert
The Grandson’s Jr. were twice voted Children’s Music Artist of the Year by the Washington Area Music Association (the Wammies), and they’ll be performing just for you at Glen Echo’s Spanish Ballroom. There’s bench seating or you can bring a blanket to sit up front, but with so much space in the Ballroom, your little one will probably just want to bounce around and dance a while. This annual festival, which helps kick off Hispanic Heritage Month pulls no stops. The day is jam packed as the various Latino cultures represented in the D.C. area are spotlighted via a Parade of Nations, a children’s festival, a science fair, a diplomatic pavilion for embassies and consulates, arts and crafts stations and international cuisine booths.
