Spring is officially springing! It’s time to get out and smell the flowers! The daffodils and tulips are blooming at Burnside Farms and it’s an easy daytrip from Washington, DC. Too far a drive? Pick-Your-Own at Burnside Farms
Come to pick daffodils and tulips. Stay for on-the-farm fun. Activities included in admission 2 bounce features, grain bin basketball, playhouse area, cornhole games, short film cinema in the barn, corn sandbox, pedal cart track, more than 100 pairs of authentic dutch wooden shoes to “klomp” around in and a picnic area. Drive In to the Movies
Enjoy the fun of a movie in a theater with the safety of social distance and the comfort of your own car when you go to the Alexandria Drive-In for recent and classic family-friendly movies. Museum of Flight’s Spring Into Space
Take your spring break to a really exotic location! The Moon perhaps. Mars? Jupiter’s moon Europa? It’s all possible without leaving your own comfort zone on Earth, thanks to the Museum of Flight’s Boeing Academy for STEM Learning special Spring Break programming. The Academy offers a variety of Zoom programs for students in grades 2-12, including planetarium shows of the cosmos, tours inside of the Space Shuttle Trainer, and interactive spaceflight missions to the Moon, Mars, and Europa. Children’s Friendship Festival
Bring your kids to this virtual event that is run by children and features performances by children from all over the globe. Various nationalities are represented through music, folk dancing and art.
