Breakfast with Santa
Join Santa for a delicious breakfast buffet inside the spacious Roundhouse at the B&O Railroad Museum. The Roundhouse has been transformed into a festive wonderland featuring the B&O’s signature 35-foot Christmas tree, model train layouts, and Santa’s winter village. Santa will join you and your family during breakfast and be available for socially distant photo sessions. Families will ride the Reindeer Railway train and children will be given reindeer antlers for the trip. Sat. Event details.
Join Embrey Mill at the Jeff Rouse Swim and Sport Center for the fourth annual Frosty 3-Miler and one-mile Reindeer Run for kids 12 & under. Prizes will be awarded in each age group, including a cash prize for the top three male and female runners and a long-sleeve dri-fit shirt for all who pre-register for the race. You can also participate virtually! Sat. Event details.
All Aboard the Santa Train
Get your camera ready for this Insta-worthy trip on the Walkersville Southern Railroad. Laurie Berkner’s Virtual Holiday Party
Sing, dance, and play interactive games through your device with Laurie Berkner and special guest Susie Lampert as they perform your favorite songs, interact with you through the computer, and bring in a few surprises – from Laurie’s house to yours! This special virtual concert event is the fifth in this series, and your ticket helps support the team in continuing operations while they can’t tour. Sun. Event details.
The Wide World of Hanukkah Treats
What do we eat at Hanukkah? Foods cooked in oil… and not just potato latkes! The foods we eat depend on where our families come from and the journeys they’ve taken. Join Amelia Saltsman—writer, teacher, and award-winning author of The Seasonal Jewish Kitchen: A Fresh Take on Tradition—for a live cooking workshop in which you’ll make your own Hanukkah treat inspired by Saltsman’s Romanian and Iraqi roots: sweet and savory cheese pancakes! Sun. Event details.
The Amazing Bubble Show
Thrilling audiences around the world for nearly 30 years with the art, magic, science and fun of bubbles, the Amazing Bubble Man (a.k.a. Louis Pearl) explores the breath-taking dynamics of bubbles in this virtual show on Zoom. Combining comedy and artistry with audience questions and bubble tricks, this show is fun for all ages. From square bubbles, bubbles inside bubbles, fog-filled bubbles, giant bubbles, bubble volcanoes, and more, the Amazing Bubble Man with special guest, Jet Black Pearl on accordion will keep you doubly bubbly entertained.
