What We Know: Slavery at a Mill
Enslavement occurred in homes, shops, farming fields and places of work. As a factory and a home, Colvin Run Mill combined all of these. During this program, learn how the work of the enslaved might have looked in each of these spaces and how that changed as news of emancipation spread. The hourlong program at Colvin Run Mill runs at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. The cost is $60 per family group of up to nine people. Sat. Event details.
