Splash parks, pools, and playgrounds have been in the rotation for weeks now, and your kids may be growing weary (shocking, we know). Shake things up with a class or camp that lets the littles keep their hands busy crafting, cooking, inventing, and building.

Playseum

A series of rooms and experiences at this local institution make it the ultimate hands-on adventure for kids. A miniature bakery, soap shop, and art shop accept Playseum dollars ($1 gets you $1 in play money or $20 buys you $25), where your kids can purchase and decorate cookies and cupcakes, make ice cream shakes, paint wooden or ceramic animals, and even make their own toothpaste, lip balm, or lotion.

Cost: Activities range in price from $2 to $15. General admission is $9 per person (children under 11 months are free)
