Animal-loving tykes get an up close and personal look at lions, tigers, and bears (oh my!) during this camp hosted by the National Zoo. Campers split into groups—kindergartners and first graders are dubbed “Winter Wonders,” and second through fifth graders are the “Polar Opposites” crew. Each group goes in separate directions to explore the lives of animals around the park, plus get their hands dirty with craft projects and science experiments.

All American Sports Camp
Sporty types will leave no ball unturned at this Arlington-based camp where the fundamentals for a myriad of games—from basketball and soccer to flag football and whiffleball—are taught. The best part? The camp is led by local instructors who are more concerned with making sure your little one has fun in the field, rather than turning them into the next LeBron James.

But, boy, will she sleep good at night! And if all that doesn’t keep kiddo from jumping off your walls at home, the camp’s newest feature—a Gaga pit (an Israeli dodgeball-esque game played in an octagon-shaped arena)—should do the trick.
