Heading to the happiest place on earth? We’ve got all the Disney Park hacks for the summer that will keep you nice and cool and enjoying those priceless princess visits—that you’ve paid so dearly for. (This post contains affiliate links.)
There are few things worse than standing in a long line for a ride, and sweating profusely. Unless that, is you're doing it with sweaty children! Both Disney Parks in the United States are in hotter climates so the odds of visiting on a warm day is very likely. Make the day a little more bearable by coming prepared with a cooling towel. Made with specialty material that stays cold for hours when wet, this thin, scarf-like towels can be worn on the neck or head to keep the family cool and happy.
Choose from tons of cooling towels that are undoubtedly cheaper than buying at the parks on Amazon.
Character Meet & Greets
The summer months are the busiest for any Disney Park, but that doesn't mean there aren't creative ways to beat the heat. One of the best ways to take a break and grab some AC is to do character meet and greets!
Many sections of the parks offer multiple character experiences at once, where you can meet a handful of princesses or a few of your fave Star Wars peeps––all while either waiting in line in some cool air conditioning, or while you meet and greet. This is a win-win for both kids and parents!
Go on ALL the Water Rides
Never has their been a more appropriate time to hit up Splash Mountain, Kali River Rapids or Grizzly Run than on a hot day. Enjoy the coolness that comes with getting soaked, and share a little laugh with the kiddos, too. You'll be dry before you know it!
Focus on Indoor Entertainment
While there are plenty of rides you no doubt want to enjoy at the Disney Parks, waiting in the hot sun can zap your energy fast. When you need a break, partake in indoor entertainment that will allow you to get a rest and enjoy some air conditioning.
At Disneyland, check out the Enchanted Tiki Room, Star Wars Launch Bay, the Fantasy Faire and the Animation Building at California Adventure.
At Disney World, head to the Hall of Presidents or Mickey's PhilharMagic to name a few. There's plenty of cool relief to be found if you just look!
