Following the announcement of nearly 400 store closures, Family Dollar (a Dollar Tree chain) is set to add something pretty major to 1,000 of its remaining locations—alcohol!
Along with bargain priced housewares, cleaning products and the typical range of inexpensive items you can find at Family Dollar, now you can pick up an adult beverage (or a few). Dollar Tree, Family Dollar’s parent company, also announced plans to expand the freezer and cooler sections in almost 400 of the stores.

Family Dollar fans can also look for an expanded party goods section and select Dollar Tree-branded merch in at least 1,000 locations. That means you can basically fill your entire backyard bash list in one quick (and not-so-costly) stop.
As of now there’s no information on which stores will carry alcohol, what brands the stores will stock or what the price points are.
