There are many last-minute closures and much uncertainty about future events. We will keep our calendar as up-to-date as possible but please check with event hosts prior to attending an event and refer to CDC guidelines to minimize the spread as much as possible.
The year’s most popular exhibit at the CNC is back for its 7th summer. Get up close and personal with hundreds of native butterflies surrounded by colorful nectar plants. Photo opportunities abound, be sure to bring your camera. Nectar sticks will be provided, but please feel free to BYOS (Bring your own Stick). You’ll also have the opportunity to purchase nectar and host plants to start your own butterfly garden or supplement your existing garden.
The Butterfly Encounter is included with general admission and free to CNC Members. Visitors must purchase admission tickets in advance, which include a date and time to visit the center. Members will also be required to make a reservation for their visit, and guests inside the butterfly tent will be limited.
