There are many last-minute closures and much uncertainty about future events. We will keep our calendar as up-to-date as possible but please check with event hosts prior to attending an event and refer to CDC guidelines to minimize the spread as much as possible.
Campers exercise their sense of play through improv games and learn the foundation of The Second City’s unique brand of comedy. Our teachers will work with these young improvisers to help enhance their ability to communicate with others and develop confidence in their own creativity, all while working as part of an ensemble. No previous experience required. Camps end with a virtual show where the students show off what they’ve learned.
SUBJECTS
- Improv: the fundamentals and the “yes, and” philosophy
- Musical Improv: spontaneously put words to music
- Sketch Comedy: use improv to develop scenes/ create original sketches
1-DAY CAMPS
Campers are broken up by ages 4-6, 7-9, 10-12 & 13-18
