Rosemont’s Parkway Bank Park entertainment district will kick off the holiday season with its annual “Light Up The Park” tree lighting event. The ice rink will officially open for the season at 11 a.m. A variety of family-friendly festivities will be available, including visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, free horse-drawn sleigh rides, holiday carolers and ice carving viewing. Rosemont’s Mayor Brad Stephens will arrive at 5:30 p.m. to officially illuminate the Park with a spectacular display of more than 80,000 holiday lights. The ice rink will close for the evening at 10 p.m. Parkway Bank Park’s restaurants and entertainment venues will be open throughout the day.
Admission is free. Guests are invited to bring their own skates. Skate rentals are available on-site for $8.
