Although current Phase 4 “Restore Illinois” state guidelines prohibit re-opening its full exhibit environment to the public, Kohl Children’s Museum has announced opportunities for individual groups of 10 to engage in select exhibits through its V.I.P. (Very Important Play) program.
Visitors can choose between two packages. The new “Young@Art” package lets groups of up to 10 participants experience three exhibits, exclusive to their group. An educator-led take-home art activity will be presented in the Adventures in Art studio, and visitors will have the chance to watch a feeding session of the inhabitants of the Turtle Rock exhibit.
For families longing for the familiar, the “Main Street” package could satisfy a child missing their favorite Museum exhibit. Six exhibits—the Whole Foods Market grocery store, SpotHero Car Garage, Pet Vet, Baby Nursery, Play Café and Sheridan’s Books and Crannies—will also be open as an exclusive session.
Note: Sessions available Fri.-Sun., 3 p.m.-5 p.m.
