Celebrate National Engineers Week by trying out exciting, hands-on engineering experiences and talking with professional engineers of all kinds. Co-Presented with DiscoverE, Discover Engineering Family Day is a fun-filled day designed to introduce students 4 to 12 to the wonder of engineering and the importance of technological literacy. It attracts thousands of people and kicks off DiscoverE Engineers Week activities in the national capital area. Try out exciting, hands-on engineering experiences and talking with professional engineers of all kinds. 

CONSTRUCT a building that can withstand high winds
DESIGN a motorized bot to walk across a table
LAUNCH a ping-pong ball into the air
MIX slime and learn about different chemical reactions
MEET an astronaut
