The National Academy of Sciences (NAS), a private, nonprofit that provides objective, science-based advice on critical issues affecting the nation, will offer a unique and fun opportunity for young people (ages 3 and up) and their families to better understand how to use science, engineering and medicine to help make good decisions every day. The Institute for Genomic Biology will also participate in this Family Day, bringing its World of Genomics to D.C. for the first time ever. The World of Genomics features hands-on learning with state-of-the-art microscopy, robotics, activities and artifacts.
