Each program will meet at the Hoyt Arboretum Visitor Center and include a short walk on soft surface trails (up to 0.5 miles). Family Bird Walks are geared toward students ages 5 – 12 years old accompanied by an adult. Family Bird Walks are every second Saturday from April through October.
About the instructor: Longtime birder and teacher Laura Whittemore loves to show beginners the tricks of the trade. She has taught classes for Audubon Society of Portland and previously worked for Backyard Bird Shop.
