You don’t have to go big to keep your little snow bunnies entertained this winter. In fact, these tiny towns are proving just how much adventure one family can fit into a small space, with everything from sleigh rides and sledding to skijoring and sightseeing, and even a few that don’t include snowy goodness (hello, beaches and sunshine). Flip through to find your next pint-sized winter destination!

Bethel, Maine (Appx. Population 2,607)

If your snow-loving sidekick wants to kick it in the great outdoors this winter, Bethel’s the place to do it. Let him get his athlete on at the miles of groomed cross-country trails, or hop on a snowmobile and really put some miles behind you. Then slow the pace with some ice fishing, sleigh riding (of the warm blanket and coca variety) and even a winter zip-line to ride. There’s nothing small about the adventures you’ll find here!
