Great Wolf Lodge - IL, MN, GA
Have a splashing good time at some of Great Wolf's newest indoor water parks. Great Wolf, Bloomington (MN) has just opened (pictured above), and Chicago (IL) and Atlanta (GA) will open their doors in the coming year, which means there'll be 16 Great Wolf Lodges across the U.S. Each one has the signature year-round swim fun facilities with slides, chutes, wave pools, water forts and hot springs as well as family-friendly activities like storytime, yoga, spa sessions and family dining.
LEGOLAND Castle Hotel, CA
The LEGOLAND experience gets even better with its very own Castle Hotel next year. Those distinctive flags flying from the parapets herald an immersive castle experience for guests with a great hall and themed rooms decked out to appeal to wannabe knights, dragon-slayers, royalty, and wizards. The hotel promises to have thousands of castle-inspired LEGO models on display and a huge choice of rooms, including 20 suites.
Immerse the family in five-star Scottish luxury at the Gleneagles Hotel in Perthshire. Known as golf venue with lots of outdoor pursuits, the resort has been undergoing a major renovation, and the newest spaces to open are just for kids. The Little Glen is a fully supervised crèche for ages 2-9, with an arts and crafts workshop, indoor tepees and a train carriage. The Den is for ages 6-15 and has everything from PS4s, Xboxes to games, a pool table and air hockey plus a cinema room for movie screenings.
Alohilani Resort - Waikiki Beach, HI
A multi-million dollar makeover has turned The Pacific Beach Hotel into the newly refurbished Alohilani Resort on Hawaii’s most iconic city beachfront. The luxury resort has a pool deck, kids' pool, restaurants, fitness center, spa, shopping and a three-story fish tank in the lobby with daily feedings! While parents relax and enjoy all that's on offer, the kids can participate in thoughtful cultural activity adventures with The Monkey Pod Kid's Club (for guests ages 5-12 years).
Hodges Bay Resort & Spa, Antigua
This multi-million dollar development is set to open summer 2018 and is promising the very best in splurge-worthy family-friendly luxury. There will be four restaurants, two pools, a fitness center, firepit, access to swim and watersports activities and ultra-modern accommodations. Rates include access to the Flying Fish Kids Club and there's another club for teens. The hotel sits right on the white sandy beaches in the north of Antigua, 10 minutes from the airport.
Paradise Point Resort Spa - San Diego, CA
A short drive from Sea World, Paradise Point will finish a complete renovation of all its 462 rooms in early 2018. On the sparkling waters of Mission Bay, the bungalow-style guest rooms and bathrooms are getting a complete overhaul to give them a modern beach feel. There's also a spa, signature restaurant, multiple pools, and resort activities like beach bonfires with s’mores, sailing lessons, mini-golf, bike rentals, a surf school, full-service marina, and paddle boarding.
Hotel Xcaret, Mexico
Set between the Riviera Maya jungle and the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea, Hotel Xcaret has just opened, providing a luxury-style experience with fun-packed activities for kids as well as beautiful views, rainforest trails, spa, tennis courts, infinity pools, restaurants and white sandy beaches. The hotel offers a babysitting service and both kid and teen club activities focusing on the exploration of culture, adventure, and creativity.
Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres Resort & Spa, Mexico
Take your pick from five swimming pools, including one just for kids, and enjoy the facilities at this five-star beachfront hotel on the Costa Mujeres. The brand-new resort claims to have been designed with minimal environmental impact and lots of premium features, like swim-up access to the best suites. There's entertainment for every age group, a baby club for ages 1-3, a kids club for ages 4-12 and another activity camp for tweens and teens. For adults, there's plenty of opportunities to relax with a spa, seven restaurants, and a sports bar.
Magaritaville Resort - Orlando, FL
Here's another reason—other than Disney World—to head to Orlando! A huge complex housing a hotel as well as a vacation home community, Margaritaville Resort is bringing the ocean to Central Florida with a waterpark and a three-acre swimming area, wooded trails, restaurants, a water-taxi system and white sandy beaches. The phased openings will see the vacation homes ready for next summer and the hotel taking bookings from November 2018.
