Lessard was one of the first to arrive on the scene of a car accident in Mississippi on Saturday that involved a Lincoln SUV flipping several times as it flew off an exit ramp. An adult driver and five children were in the car.

D’Ibervile Fire Capt. Darren Peterson said his firefighters do everything they can to calm and comfort children involved in traumas such as this. Heroes don’t always wear capes!
