Something magical is coming from Disney’s golden lamp and we’ve just gotten our first glimpse with the release of the teaser trailer for Disney’s live-action Aladdin. Keep reading to watch this epic sneak peek at a new spin on our of our Disney favorites.

The new live-action movie, starring Egyptian-born Canadian actor Mena Massoud as the film’s titular diamond-in-the-rough, won’t make it to theaters until next summer, but Disney is already teasing fans with an impressive first look that will leave you wanting more.

Just try not to get chills as a haunting version of “Arabian Nights” plays over sweeping shots of parrot henchman Iago flying above the vast dunes of the Arabian desert. If that doesn’t get you, then the deep voice booming, “Who disturbs my slumber!?” as the Cave of Wonders appears definitely will!

If you were hoping to get a look at Will Smith, who fills the very big, very blue shoes left behind by Robin Williams as the Genie, you’ll have to wait. While there’s no sign of Smith’s Genie in the first teaser, the actor took to Instagram to share his excitement, posting a picture of the movie poster with the caption, “LEMME OUT!! Can’t wait for you all to see me BLUE!”

Naturally, fans shared some mixed feelings about the Aladdin remake—can anyone really do Williams’ original performance justice? But along with a new Genie, the live-action version brings many welcome changes, including a more empowered role for Princess Jasmine, so this version will clearly stand on its own.

Disney’s Aladdin hits theaters May 24, 2019, but there’s no doubt we’ll be seeing more before then so stay tuned.
