The countdown is officially on for the sequel to Frozen and fans don’t have much longer to wait till they can “Let It Go” all over again. The Frozen 2 release date has finally been announced and it’s sooner than we expected.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Frozen 2 is set to hit theaters Nov. 22, 2019. That’s right just a little over one year away till the Elsa and Anna frenzy sets in all over again and six years after the first movie debuted in 2013.

More details of the new movie were also recently revealed including the fact that it will feature four new songs. “We have a new song that I think is an evolution,” Jennifer Lee, co-director of the first and second films, told Variety, “It’s its own song…Bobby [Lopez] and Kristen [Anderson-Lopez] just delivered it three weeks ago. We’ve been working with them for two years and this song just came in and I love it.”

Lee also revealed that the scope of the new film will be bigger than the first. While the new film will still be centered around sisters Elsa (Idina Menzel) and Anna (Kristen Bell) and their pals, it will be “bigger, more epic” than the previous film. “They’re going to go far out of Arendelle.”
