We’ve all been there: pajamas under outfits (or as outfits) on those days when the battle-to-get-dressed is just not worth it. Today, embrace it and celebrate Pajama Day by heading out to do not just the ordinary, but the unexpected, in PJs.

Exercise in Public
Run, jump, play hopscotch, do yoga. Just try and do it outside your house, and ideally in a public place like a playground or park. PJ’s are so stretchy, it’s like soft workout gear in matching dancing animals-on-skateboards patterns. (And we know you’ve done this before).
Eat In or Out
Think about it: the spills probably won’t show on the fabric as well because of those dancing animals (see above), and the fabric is 110% washable. The question is: will mom and dad dare to eat out in pajamas? If the answer to that is no, just have everyone slip on the PJs before dinner.
Visit a Museum
You’ll be able to beat the morning rush because you will have saved sooo much time not having to cajole them into “town clothes” today.
Host an Impromptu Pajama Party
Invite a couple of your kiddo’s pals over for an afternoon PJ party. Make popcorn, pull out some board games or lawn games. If other children can’t make it, your family can yuck it up instead. The only requirement: everyone wears pajamas! Slippers are an added bonus.
