Gabrielle Union’s Daughter Inspires New Children’s Book

The relationship between mother and daughter is very special. Gabrielle Union and her daughter have a unique bond which prompted her to pen a new children’s book. Welcome to the Party, illustrated by Ashley Evans, is inspired by Union’s personal excitement leading up to Kaavia James’s birth.

Union posted a sweet video to her Instagram page. “My inspiration for writing this book is to acknowledge all the routes to motherhood and the creating and expanding of families.” She captioned her post. “Reminding everyone that no matter how you family, we welcome you, love you and celebrate you.”
